Bavarians in Dubai - Die Kirchdorfer in the desert!

That's the cover of the "Morgenland" magazine, edition 47, dated 28th of october 2007

7 member of the Kirchdorfer were playing at the Oktoberfest in the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Dubai, while 7 of their other colleagues were playing in the same time at the local Oktoberfest in Shanghai.

7 of our band members were able to experience a guided tour through the desert into the area of Camel Rock by 1001 Events Tourism, something which is surely only possible in Dubai. During the ride in the dunes they were fascinated by the desert landscape and its bizarre rocks. They had a lot of fun as the drivers jumped the jeeps over the dunes.
Playing "Ein Prosit der Gemütlichkeit" on top of a dune in the middle of the desert and seeing both the drivers and camels listen attentively you could feel the spirit of a cultural exchange.
Anyway the tour was a lot of fun for everyone and the musicians created a theme song, "Sand in den Haferschuhen". Maybe you will be able to hear it during next year`s Oktoberfest in Dubai.
